Different, Not Broken Is Becoming You’re Not Too Much

Published on: 15th August, 2026

Okay. Big news and I want to get the important part out of the way in the first line: nothing you’re subscribed to breaks. Same host, same feed, same weekly nonsense. You don’t have to do anything.

Here’s what’s actually happening.

We’ve been doing this for over a year. In that time, the person who was most resistant to this podcast — a podcast that was, and I cannot stress this enough, her own idea — started building podcasts for other people.

We’re also, apparently, in the top 40 on the Apple charts.

So it's time there’s a network now.

Different, Not Broken becomes the DNB Network — a home for a batch of new shows, all built on the same idea: authoritative people who are also, genuinely, credible. And sometimes freakin' hilarious.

One launches immediately and several are behind it, and you’ll meet those hosts as we bring them in.

And to make room for all of that, this show gets a new name.

We are becoming You’re Not Too Much.

I’m excited and scared and then excited again.

But so many of us have spent our whole lives being told we’re too much — too loud, too direct, too sensitive, too something — and we’re not. You’re not. You’re perfect exactly the way you are. You’re not too much, and you are at the same time enough.

That’s the name. That’s the whole reason for the name.

Same feed. Same host. New stupid stuff, plus all the old stupid stuff. Every week, sometimes more than once.

🎧 You’re Not Too Much, a Different, Not Broken podcast — honest, funny conversations about neurodivergence, mental health, burnout and being human.

Speaker:

All right, so we have some big news in podcast land.

Speaker:

We've been doing this now for, like, over a year.

Speaker:

People have been tolerating me running my mouth into a

Speaker:

microphone about literally nothing.

Speaker:

For a year.

Speaker:

I keep asking who is gaming the system?

Speaker:

Because I can't figure out how there are actual humans who listen to

Speaker:

this every week, because you guys realize it's just me talking, right?

Speaker:

If you ask my husband, that's not enticing.

Speaker:

Thank you.

Speaker:

I love that you guys are here.

Speaker:

I don't want you to go anywhere, but also, I'm still very confused by your

Speaker:

existence, and that has not changed.

Speaker:

If you go back and listen to the first episode, we talked about it then.

Speaker:

That has not changed.

Speaker:

I'm gonna go back and listen to the first episode because that feels

Speaker:

like a thing to do at this time.

Speaker:

But anyway, we have big news.

Speaker:

So the person who could not have been more resistant to the podcast that was

Speaker:

her idea, I'm talking about myself right now, so resistant to this, has started

Speaker:

building podcasts for other people.

Speaker:

What?

Speaker:

This doesn't even make sense.

Speaker:

This medium, I kinda like it.

Speaker:

I've had a lot of fun doing it, and everybody I talk to now, I'm

Speaker:

like, "You should have a podcast." And I was so, so, so anti-podcast.

Speaker:

I can't even… I… Listen, sometimes I'm wrong, and I don't mind being wrong,

Speaker:

but I was definitely wrong about this.

Speaker:

So anyway, that means a few things for our little corner of the internet.

Speaker:

One of which is that, I don't know if you guys realize this, but this podcast,

Speaker:

this thing that we do every week, is on the top 40 on the Apple charts.

Speaker:

We're in the top 40 on the Apple charts, and the only thing I'd like better than

Speaker:

being in the top 40 on the Apple charts is being number 42 on the Apple charts.

Speaker:

If that doesn't make sense to you, leave.

Speaker:

If it does make sense to you, of course it makes sense to you.

Speaker:

There's nobody here who that doesn't make sense to.

Speaker:

So long, and thanks for all the fish.

Speaker:

But anyway, so we have some changes coming up.

Speaker:

Good changes.

Speaker:

They don't affect the format.

Speaker:

They don't affect your access to what we're doing here.

Speaker:

It's time to, to stretch in another direction for a couple of reasons.

Speaker:

One of which is we're gonna have a bunch more shows.

Speaker:

We're gonna have other shows that have our branding because they're part of

Speaker:

our network, because we have a network.

Speaker:

What?

Speaker:

And so we need to use our branding a little bit more flexibly.

Speaker:

Again, wild.

Speaker:

And so as we're building out these pods that will all be, authoritative

Speaker:

content from authoritative people who are also kind of funny.

Speaker:

That's, that's like our thing, right?

Speaker:

That will become the Different, Not Broken Network, the DNB Network.

Speaker:

You'll see that on all of our properties as we go forward.

Speaker:

And our show is gonna get a new name as a result of that.

Speaker:

And I'm very, very excited and scared, and also excited, but also scared.

Speaker:

We are becoming You're Not Too Much.

Speaker:

So going forward, when you find my stupid face in your phone, you

Speaker:

will see it next to You're Not Too Much, because you know what?

Speaker:

You're not too much, and so many of us have been told

Speaker:

that we are, and you're not.

Speaker:

You're perfect just the way you are.

Speaker:

You're not too much, and you are at the same time enough.

Speaker:

And so, going forward, you will see that branding on this very

Speaker:

same space, and it will be You're Not Too Much, a DNB podcast, or

Speaker:

a Different, Not Broken podcast.

Speaker:

Still hosted by me.

Speaker:

You're still gonna hear the same stupid stuff.

Speaker:

New stupid stuff, same stupid host.

Speaker:

You'll still get it every week, sometimes more than once a week if I decide to

Speaker:

throw a curveball at my producing team and make them rename the whole show.

Speaker:

So more than once a week sometimes.

Speaker:

And, we're gonna have all sorts of cool new things.

Speaker:

There's gonna be oppor- opportunities to get, special content.

Speaker:

There are a bunch of new programs we're launching.

Speaker:

There are a bunch of new shows we're launching, at least one immediately

Speaker:

and then several more will follow.

Speaker:

You'll get to meet those hosts as we onboard them.

Speaker:

But, things are getting bigger in the coolest way, and that works

Speaker:

out because you're not too much

About the Podcast

Different, Not Broken
You’ve spent your whole life feeling like something’s wrong with you. Here’s a radical thought: what if you’re not broken - just different?

Welcome to Different, Not Broken, the no-filter, emotionally intelligent, occasionally sweary podcast that challenges the idea that we all have to fit inside neat little boxes to be acceptable. Hosted by L2 (aka Lauren Howard), this show dives into the real, raw and ridiculous sides of being neurodivergent, introverted, chronically underestimated - and still completely worthy.

Expect deeply honest conversations about identity, neurodivergence, gender, work, grief, anxiety and everything in between.

There’ll be tears, dead dad jokes, side quests, and a whole lot of swearing.

If you are tired of pretending to be someone you’re not, this space is for you.

Come for the chaos.
Stay for the catharsis.
Linger for the dead Dad jokes.
